Quang Chau

Quang is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Educational Policy & Leadership, SUNY at Albany (USA), concurrently a research assistant at the Program for Research on Private Higher Education (www.prophe.org).

His research focuses on higher education policies, especially privatization and autonomy.

Since his involvement in the annual conference series Engaging with Vietnam as an organizing committee member (in 2018), Quang’s research approach has become interdisciplinary.

Most of his publications examine Vietnam’s higher education through the lens of political economy. He has authored and co-authored two chapters in the latest book on Vietnam’s higher education (published in 2020) edited by Prof. Phan Le Ha and Dr. Doan Ba Ngoc.

In addition to publishing, Quang has joined many initiatives, including conference organizing, to build a network of young scholars in higher education studies. He is now an active member in several research groups on Vietnam’s higher education.
